SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE

did he cheat? So Jamal tells his story, the truth is, his life is made up of all the answers to the questions on the show...But an even more puzzling question is... "why would Jamal, being a slumdog who has no apparent desire for cash whatsoever, join the quiz show?"
This film is actually good. It tells you about how people around the world live, and how much they strive to get what they want. This film is so so so unique, i have never seen anything like it, even if the ending is predictable.
The ending kind of writes itself, but it's okay. It is not the ending that matters in this case but what matters is the journey taken to the end.
If you don't know what the slums in India are like, you might get shocked, but the reality is; this is how people live. It also shows you how people in the slums are not complaining about anything, and they seem to be living the most carefree lives ever. They don't worry about cash, food, clothing, getting dirty or anything. They just enjoy their lives. I wish i could be able to enjoy life the same way :)
I can see why this movie won over the curious case of benjamin button, but its difficult to explain. Both movies are good, but they fall into different genres, and honestly, i like this film more.
but still,- not making it to my fave movies list, maybe i'll explain later about why i like hot fuzz so much to put it as one of my favourite movies, haha, it really does deserve it :D

not tgif but..... gift: "God its Friday.... Thanks"
thank God its friday is no longer TGIF, mari*** ruined it for me :(
now its called gift"
so it fridaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
people! thats good and bad.
1. its good because i get to sleep late and get some sleep, wake up late the next day and enjoy life
2. its bad because Friday ends the week and it so happens that today is the end of REVISION WEEK
3. its bad because i have to study this friday instead, and if i dont study i will be pressured to do so by my conscience, and worst, its bad because it marks the start of the termtest week.
meh, i love revision week, its so relaxing, no studying at school, no homeworks, whoooo, revision week is the best. However, the next week after that is torture, late nights, spending 4 hours stuck in the MPH, yes again, termtest.
as i am writing todays entry, my conscience is secretly telling me to quickly finish off the entry, post it and get on with my studies. noooooooooooooo. I know that my conscience is probably right but i think i can still write a little more.
so today i just finished watching slumdog millionaire. One of my friends requested i write a review for it too. Im sorry but i dont think i will be able to do it right now, sorry pece, but i will give you a very short review right now.
Slumdog Millionaire is a touching story about Jamal Malik, who is born into a Muslim family in the slums of India. One day, Jamal decides to enter the Indian version of the show "who wants to be a millionaire" and suprisingly, as a slum boy, Jamal makes it to the final round, which is scheduled for the next day, and he might just win 20 million rupees.
The story starts with Jamal being questioned by the officers in India, them being suspicious of how a "slumdog" like himself is able to get to the final question.

i love revision week
there were so many strange things today, hahah now is the era when i'm currently being called sukro; first it was sukyiyem, tweezers(i got that nickname because i once asked CH "may i borrow your tweeeeeeezers?), "oh palatable" and now this, all thanks to peter D:
well nvm that, today peche decided to kid around with me. She volunteered to fill my bottle and after half and hour or so, after i had finished half of the bottle of water she said, "eh suk, gw ngisi botol lo pake air keran lhoo" i was shocked, haha normally i wouldn't believe something like that, but it so happens that one other time, she almost filled peter's bottle with tap water for fun and she would have if i didn't stop her ofcourse....
and until now idk if she was lying or not; the aqua did taste weird, or maybe it was just my imagination, huahuahuahuahhu
and the second thing, after school, i caught JM, van, and arin at the school back door with the security guard tryong to open the big red gate. I decided to join them and i asked "what are you doing" vania pulled me out, and she was saying something and midsentence, a dog started barking at us, vania, still holding my arm was dragging me along as she started to run.
It was part of my natural reflex to leave my shoes on the road (since i wasn't wearing it properly i couldn't run fast). After running a few meters, we looked back and realized the dog wasn't chasing us anymore. We also realized that i had left my shoes in the grass next to the road, right near the dog. Hahaha i had a fear of dogs since i was young and i decided that i was too afraid of it to get my shoes.
thanks to JM, i got my shoes back. She was afraid of getting of the dog, and rabies but she still slowly picked up my shoes and gave them to me, even if the dog was staring at her.
later she said, "the one thing i don't understand is why the dog didn't eat your shoe" hahhah
thank you JM, hahahah my hero bahahha,
even if you did hide my pencilcase on top of the projector hahah(another weird thing today)

movie review 2008 :)

disturbing, boring yet very intriguing and fascinating
the story starts off with the elderly Daisy on her deathbed with her daughter Caroline at her side, going through some of her mother's memoirs. Caroline then stumbles upon a book,- to be prcise, a biography, in which she opens, only to reveal tht it is the life story of Benjamin Button, who was once her mother's lover.
"I was born under unusual circumstances" it starts. Benjamin Button was indeed born under unusual circumstances- he was born old, and the story reveals his life, as normal as any other man beside the fact that he ages backward, being born as an 80 year-old man, Benjamin dies as a baby.
The only thing interesting about it is the way he ages backward. Other than that, it is just a film about this mans life covered in 2 and a half hours.
Eventhough, it still explores the most extra-ordinary aspects of ordinary life, and that makes the movie so unique. It gives a sort of sweet heartfelt warmth kind of ambiance to it, though i do say that the movie starts off a little slow.
the movie is sort of disturbing in a way that makes you contemplate about life itself for weeks even after watching the film. Also, I applaud the producers for being able to bring the story to life. It was probably a really difficult movie to make and difficult to shoot, having to work out benjamins life backward and shooting it in little different bits. It must have taken a heck of a long time.
the result of the movie: bravo.
so do i like it? haha im not sure yet...
well the effects are definitely good but it still isn't making it to my fave movies list.

don't read this if you're afraid of toe injuries
so yes my first entry,
just a few minutes ago, i was reading my friends blog. One thing I realized was that my name appeared in it 9 times this month hahaha, and reading her blog made me want to share my side of the stories too.
first and foremost; TERMTEST IS (almost) HERE; man im scared, hahahah it seems that my grades have been sinking and for some reason, i have a bad feeling about the termtest this year. so God help meeeeeeee.
secondly, today i saw the most disgusting foot, toe related injury. It so happened that my friend(vania christie chandra) crashed into some sort of gate, and idk why, the pinky toe of her left foot is practically ripped off. Its so gross, and i can only imagine the pain that she feels. eeeeeeeeeee. i told her that she might have to amputate the toe if it got too seperated from the rest of her foot but ofcourse i was just kidding hahah. But imgine that, she got it ripped off on saturday and she's only going to the doctor today, bahhhh. hahha whats worst i saw the toe, its misplaced, and right now, all i can do is thank heavens that my toe is fine :D and too my friend who's toe is misplaced at the moment; if you are reading this, im sorry if i like to scare andrew with graphic details of your toe, the truth is sometimes i scare myself.
ps: how is the doctor going to fix it?
so last saturday was valentines day :D
wheee there is no better way to spend it than with you're friends, eating food and listening to live bands. OK so i didn't go to my own school party but i still enjoyed my vals. The party i attended was at d'Bar, it was the party hosted by my previous school; cibun, and i have to say, the place is beautiful. A bit dark but just the right ambiance for a late-night outdoor dinner party. I really enjoyed meeting my old friends there, and it is surprising how things change so quickly. I remeber last year, coming to pendopo for the vals party after the talent show. It was an experience but i enjoyed this years party much better (tho food last year was better). I love everyone in cibun, muah. even stupid past-time rivalries shouldn't get in the way of a happy valentines day, thx guys i enjoyed it.
right now my life is good, i'm enjoying every second of it.
tho, i do feel that i should be studying.
