food that decribes

today was less of a tiring day,
i actually laughed quite alot today so im sorta happy hahah.

one particular moment i remebered today was english class. hahahah
we had to find food that describe ourselves, hahahahha.

one very strange one i recalled is andrews. hahhahahahha.
"A POCKY" hahhahah. yeah, sure pocky describes him but seriously hahahhaahah pocky hahah.
i dont know why it was so funny then hahha when i type it here it seems retarded but andrew was the only one who gave a small snack for his description.

here's another one:
monique: "im like a tomato because im short"
jonathan: "tomatoes aren't short!"
monique: "then have you ever seen a long tomato?"
gyahahahhah

there were other interesting ones; ben said he was like a coconut, sam said he was like salt, wayne said he was like pepper because he was 'hot', jonathan said he was like a hamburger becauase he was unhealthy,
and yeah. sorry but i don't remember any others.

exhausted.

im really tired.
its only the 2nd day of the term huaaahhhh.
i guess the black rings around my eyes are due to lack of sleep during the holidays, watching movies, and tv series up till 2 and awakening at 9, yeah, not healthy.

but thank God we don't have any homework :D

anywaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaays; today i thought physical education was going to involve running again, but it didn't. wohhooooo. we did this frisbee throwing thing, and it was quite interesting. hahha i bet if we videoed everyone catching and throwing firsbees it would look so reatrded. extremely retarded. huahuahua.
the strange thing with fribees are that girls are generally better at throwing them while boys are able to catch the frisbees.
personally, i think catching is waaaaaayyyy more difficult than throwing, so why can boys catch frisbees with ease?
please tell me when you know the answer to this.

oh oh, and i have a newfound love... for wordsearches :D
hahahha thanks to maria bella.
(sorry if i did too many of them in your book mar)
they are quite entertaining, when youre bored you can just pick up a pen and start doing them in the book, huahuahua.

hi, term 4

there is a reason why i haven't posted anything on my blog as often as i used to during school days. it might not be important to you however, the reason why is because, me being on holiday is equivalent to me in fantasy land. Wherever i maybe; be it trapped in my room for 18 hours a day, or in london, im in a different state of mind. thats where im immune to the real world, and as much as i like writing in my blog, i can only write when my mind is clear. when i write in this blog, i have to choose my words well, i understand that my blog is for public viewing and is also a way to share how i feel, but my blog is for the real world, where real things happen.
i only write in my blog when i really want to share something, or when i feel like it, or when im bored. hahhaha.
so let me tell you what i've done in fantasy land. you may think that being stuck in your room for 18 hours a day is not fun, grueling, and puts you into a deep state of lethatrgy. let me say yes, it is grueling, and does put you into a state of lethargy, but it can be fun. hahaha you just have to know what to do ;)
during holidays, i choose not to go out of my room if im not in a foreign place. hahahah. well i go out only if i feel like it, or only if i really need to, or want to. gyahah. but me wanting to go out has become a very unlikely event in my more recent holidays.

so im writing this post to proove that i am done with fantasy land for now, and my holiday is over.
so this is my final transition, i have done everything else and have skillfully brought myself out of 'that state of mind'. when im done with this post, fantasy land would have to go until the final term is over.
and even if though school starts the day after tomorrow, i've had enough fun and im back down to earth.

i am also writing to welcome the fourth term. lets just hope that the fourth term isn't painful, sad, or bad in any way.
"hello term 4, nice to meet you. please don't hurt me, lets be friends. :)"

a fish with a transparent head

yes the title says it all, and no this isn't from a tabloid of some sort, its from nat geo's website(http://news.nationalgeographic.com), so its gotta be real. i know this is really unimportant to some ppl but seriously, we've gotta know what animals are becoming like for our own safety so that next time in the future, when there comes some sort of flying, bloodsucking amphibian, the news wont take us by shock.
imagine eating a fish with a transparent head...
this is a barrel-eyed fish by the way, im sure not all of them have transparent heads, just this one.
oh oh, imagine if humans had transparent heads!
and
take a look at the article concering the transparent headed barrel-eyed fish here: http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2009/02/photogalleries/fish-transparent-head-barreleye-picture/photo2.html

and if youre interested in monster fish or any sort of weird abomination look at the sites below:
this is an interesting one- a fish with human teeth http://www.wildflorida.com/articles/Sheepshead.php?zip=33040&units=f
and this is a prehistoric shark photographed alive http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2007/01/photogalleries/frilled-shark/photo2.html

keep in mind that im not obsessed with fish.

the fall

yes i haven't written in a few days and no, i did not fall.
anyways the reason i havent been writing the past four days is that,
number one; i have been over-feeding myself with movies lately, making almost no time to go online. just yesterday i watched four movies and wasn't satisfied with even one.
reason two; i have been thinking alot lately, though i wouldn't share my thoughts here, but yes i have been thinking alot
three; nothing has happened that motivated me to write, until today.

THE FALL- finally something blog-worthy
Today i watched a very good movie called the fall. The story takes place in 20th century los angeles, in a hospital. It starts when a grown man called roy walker meets a 5 year old girl called alexandria, who broke her arm picking oranges. Roy is admitted into the hospital as a result of falling from a horse in one of his movie stunts, and is not only phisically "broken" but mentally too, as Roy who became bedridden after his fall aslo lost his girlfriend to the star of the film. Roy, who just at the brink of suicide then starts to tell his fellow patient, alexandria, a story.

Roy's story which happens to include six people from different backgrounds, all whos purpose is to eliminate the evil governer odious who has commited an offense to each of these heroes. The story that Roy tells is presented as Alexandria vividly imagines it, and as the story goes on, fiction is blended in with reality. As Alexandria imagines the story, she makes the story her own, and would do anything for Roy (who is telling the story bit by bit to increase her suspense) in order to hear the next part of the story.

Eventhough, Roy does develop genuine affection for Alexandria, he is actually using her to obtain a high dose of morphine in order for him to be able to finally put himself to sleep once and for all...

-----------------------------
the fall is really really really good. i say this with all my honesty, and seriously, the trailer makes the movie seem boring but its not. click here to see the trailer (official website):
http://www.thefallthemovie.com/
the film was shot in south africa and india and more than 18 other countries including indonesia(bali and sumatra)! hahah. also including argentina, cambodia, fiji, china, egypt, nepal, turkey, spain, france, etc.
from the locations you can see that this film is really a work of art. its so vibrant, and striking, its beautiful. The visuals are really good, this film is a feast for the eyes.

also, i find the script very lifelike, as if it was candid. The actor of alexandria and roy did well in making the film seem so natural, really like any conversation that would happen in real life. you can get a taste of the script here; they're part of 'memorable quotes'
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0460791/quotes

i admit that this genre of films is not something that everyone would definitely like. This film is definitely a winner in my eyes, however, only 61% of 94 critics gave the film a positive review in february 2009.
The film did, however appear in several critics top ten lists of movies which appeared in 2008, and roger ebert named it among his top 20 films of 2008.
Well its really a matter of taste, some like this type of thing, others; not so much.

L is justice!

today and yesterday, i have been trying to write a post about the japanese movie 'death note' 1,2, and 3.
i have been trying to list reasons why you should watch it, and i have also been trying to tell people how awesome it really is.
of course, these last few days i haven't been able to actually list any of the reasons because i decided that if i listed them, they wouldn't have made any sense, and in order for them to make sense, i would actually have to explain the entire story here, despite all its complications and also, explaining the story here would ruin its beautiful ending.
so yeah; if you want to know more about the story go to
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_Note_(film)

just to make it clear, the movie is based on the death note manga(idk anything about the manga but just see 3 of the films)
and, for people who judge movies by their names/covers, please do not judge this film because it is called death note. seriously its an awesome film.
i saw the first death note a couple of years back and i thought it was awesome , but watching it again a few days ago revived my long dormant awe for this film, so just a few days a go, i finished watching number 2, and just a few minutes ago, number 3.
if you feel bored and have time to watch an awesome mystery plus crime movie please do. you can find 3 of the films from 'death note' at mysoju.com (for the last time).
and keep in mind the movie is not anime its people acting ;)

back to the topic.
so, since i found it hard to put to words how awesome this movie is and why you should watch it without spoiling the movie for any viewers, i have decided to state just one reason. just one. also, this reason is something to do with the name of my post L.
so my reason for you all to watch the film is L. L is not just the 12th letter of the alphabet, but it is also an alias to the name of the most awesome genius detective. Nobody knows his real name but people call him ryuzaki for some reason(you'd find that in death note, names are really important), but later in the film, L's real name is revealed. the most awesome part is that he is not the typical type of 'conan' detective. L is still in his 20's and
ok i better stop, i really can't describe him properly, its too hard. i'd ruin it if i go on. go ahead and watch death note. remember that L is the best thing in the film.
sugar loving, almost always bare-footed, socially incapable, genius, insomniac L gaaaaaaaaaah so awesome.

personally i like death note 2 better than death note 1, but most people rate death note 1 higher than they rate death note 2. death note three is just a spin-off to complete the whole thing, it has no relation to the death note(learn what it is) whatsoever, and i think its quite awesome, but still for some weird reason my favourite death note is number 2. :) nyekekekkeekek
L is justice!

ps: the production kinda sucks, just ignore it. the story is awesome though

a twisted ankle

so yes, from the title of this post, in your head, you already know what i'm going to write about. or so you think. what if i told you that this post had very little relation to a twisted ankle and instead this post is about much more?
well actually its not. it is about a twisted ankle, more specifically, my twisted ankle.

so
just like every other human on this planet, i woke up this morning, not knowing what was going to happen, or how, or when any particular incident would take place. or even if anything was going to happen at all.
humans are very strange, we know that everything is possible, there are countless possibilities, you could get hit by wrecking ball then and there, you could just suddenly get swept away by a giant wave, but yet, we expect our lives to go on the way we want it to, as smooth as a road on a new highway.

so yes, enough with the philosophy,
so i twisted my ankle, there isn't much to say is there?
i'm not sure really how it happened, i think i didn't warm up properly or something but during the second quarter of the basketball match, i fell and my foot somehow got bent in an unnatural direction causing the agonizing pain just to flow in a few seconds later. gaaaaah, well to tell you the truth, it didn't hurt until i stood up, becuase now that it got bent in an unnatural direction, bending it in its natural direction hurts. but im just thankful i still have a foot. muhhahahah.
i've been through this before, it'll probably hurt for 3 days, then it'll be completely fine. tomorrow im sure it'll already feel much better. maybe its karma...

tuesdays and sundays and music

today is sunday.
there's not much to tell about today.
its supposed to be one of my most lethargic-feeling days of the week, which im sure, it will be.
it's always the same old routine, but anyways i'd rather stay home on sundays than having to go to school on sundays.
believe it or not, my favourite day of the week is everyday except for tuesdays and sundays. i mean like for tuesdays, hardly any interesting thing happens, and all the subjects are like the non-academic subjects, so tuesdays are really boring.
as for sundays, i mostly never do anything at all, and i just stay at home and get all lethargic.
i like laziness, but not to the extent of lethargy, keep that in mind.
lethargy is like a prison, it traps your mind, and keeps it from thinking freely, and you get migrains, and you rarely feel fresh. its not a good feeling.
so thats why im going to limit my internet usage today to prevent lethargy, but i still need to watch the last 2 episodes of one litre of tears, so idk how long i will stay online.

anyways, if you ever feel like listening to some soft good music, but not as full as keane(save that for rainy days when you feel empty), i suggest 'nobody said it was easy' by coldplay, or 'toothpaste kisses' by the maccabees, 'the way i am' by ingrid michaelson, or anything by jason mraz...
or if you feel like listening to something happy, listen to 'hakuna matata' ;)

if you really feel like listening to something full and heavy, but still soft, listen to anything by death cab for cutie, 'lightning rod' and 'dear valentine' by guster, 'one headlight' by the wallflowers, anything by keane(try 'walnut tree'), or 'inside and out' by feist.

hahahah anyways its a matter of taste, some of these are indie, but these are just my recomendations. then again, remember that not everyone shares the same taste so yeah.

first rics cup

today, marks the opening of our first rics cup.
i can't really say what i feel about it, but somehow, oh well idk.
is this going to be an annual thing?!?

actually today's opening ceremony was really fun.
jenn, vania, jessica, michelle, monica, and bianca were really cool when they did the dance. seriously, it was good ;).
and the streetballers were really cool too, especially the kid named lollipop, who obviosly has skill for a tiny fifth grader.
and i can't believe that that girl, wearing the pink clothes is peters sisterrrrrrr >.< muahhahahaha
is it? i always thought his 'adik' would be a boy hahhaha. thanks to pece putting images in my head but what a surprise...

anyways, if you think you are really emotionally detached, test yourself by watching 'one litre of tears'.
if you follow it from the beginning up until the end, i can tell you that you will cry, you will.
but the whole series takes over 10 hours to watch, but seriously you will cry.
the saddest episodes are 6,7,8,9,10,11. not really 6 but still its a bit sad.
hahah thats like half the series, but seriously, if you follow from the beginning, most likely, you will cry. look at the post i did yesterday for the link ;).
seriously, its so sad.

third, hahah take a look at this link:
http://www.demarketubbergen.nl/downloads/kids/i-like-you.swf
especially people who are feeling down, or people who feel a need to be liked, this website is really fun, but really really retarded, but it only takes about 1 minute of your time.
hahahha :P it makes me laugh ;)

do chinese people play scrabble?

what is this emptyness called boredom?
why do we humans try to fill our lives with senseless hours of blogging, facebook, etc, etc.

anyways
i just finished watching a couple of episodes from 'one litre of tears' its a japanese series about a 15 year old schoolgirl called Aya, and how she lives her life despite her brain disease(thx peche im not so bored anymore). It's kind of sad, but its interesting, and aya seems like a nice person.
you can find this series or other japanese/korean/taiwanese shows at
http://www.mysoju.com/
some shows recomended by my friend pauline christianti are:
full house, one litre of tears, and meteor garden. you can visit her blog too, its on the right side of this page under the 'read-worthy blogs' entitled my story.

oh and; do chinese people play scrabble? i mean like they dont have letters and words, they just have characters :P
I mean sure chinese people who can speak english play normal scrabble but is there like a chinese scrabble?

oh yea, and we're finished with our exams, hahah.
its weird, during the exam week, i go online alot, but it seems like after the exams, i feel more bored online, so maybe my mind just likes procrasting alot up to a stage that when i'm having my exams, i automatically procraastinate more than usual.
anyone know how to stop procrastinating????? tellll meeee.

inside our heads

this is just for your information,

if youre right brained, or left brained nothing to be worried about, i guess they're both good :)

*test if you're right brained, or left brained: look at the post before this*

right brain vs left brain

CLOCKWISE OR ANTI-CLOCKWISE?

I tried uploading the picture here, but it doesn't move :(.
so, the solution isssss; click this:
http://7ustm3.files.wordpress.com/2007/09/dance.gif

ok so maybe you've seen this picture before,
but incase you haven't here is how to test is you are more right brain or left brain oriented
is the dancer moving anticlockwise of clockwise?

some people see her spinning clockwise, others see her spinning anticlockwise.

Seeing her spin anticlockwise means that you use more of your left brian than your left.

Seeing her spin clockwise means that you use your right brain more than the left.

Most people I know see her spinning clockwise, well as for me, at first i saw her spinning clockwise but after staring a while, i made her spin anticlockwise, and now im used to seeing her spin in both directions, but my dominating brain is my right brain since i fist saw her spinning clockwise :D

here's the trick, to make her switch, stare at her knees and calfs and i'm sure you'll be able to see her switch directions after a while.

so which way do you see her spin?

trifle things

1. ..........
so we were at the library when this happened, for some reason we started talking about things that smell bad and for some other reason we brought up farts(it might seem gross but everyone forgets that its actually natural). if you are sensitive to the topic, skip to number 2 ;) but i suggest you read on hahah. so then, we decided to discuss topics like "what do you say when you fart and people say like 'ih bau bgt, pasti lo kentut'" meaning, what is your response when you fart and people accuse you of farting? hahha one response was from pauline(she actually allowed me to post this here):
-"BUKAN GW ELU YA?" hhhahahaha ckckckc pauline ank pendeta brani boong lg haha peace
others might have had similar responses like "lo kali yg kentut" hahhaha and i remember hearing from someone "emang lo engga?" hahahhah
the next time you ask someone if they farted and they actually say no, and accuse you instead, think of this post hahah and reconsider the possibilities.
I guess the real test for liars are if they're brave enough to tell the truth about farting. Don't call yourself 100% truthful if you know you've lied about this before hahah.

2. MOST POPULAR EUROPEAN LANGUAGES AMONG YOUTHS
last month, or last last month, i started surveying people about the 2 european languages that they would most like to learn, and i am proud to say that as of today, i am finally finished with the survey, mahhahah. I interviewed 10 people and the results are intersting, and i would say that, really, launguages depend on ones taste. Here are the results:

1. Jonathan- French German
2. Pauline- French Russian
3. Artisa- German French
4. Benaya- French Russian
5. Vania- French Italian
6. Minov B- Russian Italian
7. Jessica M- Spanish Italian
8. Samuel- French German
9. David- French Russian
10. Su Lyn- French German

French 8(80%)
German 4 (40%)
Russian 4 (40%)
Italian 3 (30%)
Spanish 1 (10%)

Among selected friends, French seems to be the most popular European language.
8 out of 10 people chose to learn French as one of their top 2 choices.
Next to French, German and Russian seems to be the next most popular language.
40% of the people interviewed want to take German or Russian as one of the 2 European languages to learn.

I did this survey for fun, but still it was good to know what is in everyones head.
correct me if i got any of the facts wrong, and feel free to help with expanding my research by telling me which 2 european launguages you would most like to learn.
Many thanks to all who have willingly co-operated :)

imagination

so we were talking about this person,- not in a bad way, and because of him, we then started talking about those javanese keraton ppl, hahha, again, not in a bad way, we were just imagining.
that was part one of todays wild imagination column, but i wouldn't explain it in details as it may offend dear kakak pauline christianti(she's not keraton but theres a story to that).
no offence to all you javanese keraton ppl peace :D i have nothing against you

so part one of todays wild imagination triggered wild imagination 2:
so later, outside the library my friend maria bella ayuputri pudjiadi suddenly said something that was funny because it probably triggered some strange imagination in my head(note, it has nothing to do with keraton ppl, just the olden day people who bathe in rivers in the middle of the woods).
She started talking nga jls gt while getting her shoes from the rack
"hahhaha you know those people in the old days yang mandi di kali, gmn kalo ditembak?" it wasn't really clear the first time she said it because she was laughing hahahah,
so then it took a few seconds for it all to seep in, and then i started laughing "hahhaha yea thats right hahah imagine that... it would be so sad, hahhaha,"
and then i kind of had this imagination of some ladies bathing in the river and suddenly they hear a distant gunfire in the woods. And then one lady says "mereka sudah dateng" with that javanese accent, and the worried look on their faces. And then one of them gets shot hahhaha.
After me, the next person to figure it out was vania, she was confused at first so she asked "haaa? gimana mar, ditembak siapa?" and then maria started laughing and said "ditembak orang jepang!" hahahha she meant those people during the war carrying guns in the woods or something, hahhaa and jm even started with the 'accent' bahahahaha.

so maybe when i type it here it kind of seems retarded,
but that was the most entertaining imagination i had today muhahhahaha.

opportunity hall!

opportunity hall is another name for the MPH when it gets turned into our exam hall.
we have four exams a year, 5 days each time, so we spend 20 days in one academic year sitting in the opportunity hall.
Thats like almost one month of school,

I just finished day 11 of this year in the opportunity hall.
That means day one of term 3.
2 subjects down, 6 to go!

So i have computer and history tomorrow, and for some reason, i just can't stop procrastinating.
Nowdays, even blogging becomes a reason to stay online longer and longer. hahha

i love the internet, whheeeeeeeeeeeee
most likely i wont post anything until day 15 is over with; or if something interesting happens first; or if i feel like writing more rubbish :D

gutes Glück und Ei recipies

meaning; "good luck and egg recipies" in German
BSK TERMETEST SMUANYA GOOD LUCK, SEMOGA BERHASIL.
meaning; "termtest is tomorrow, good luck to all, i hope you succeed" in Indonesian

i knw i should be studying (which i will in a few minutes), but just befor i end this post i would like to share some recipies with you.
Do you like eggs? or cooking?
well here there are many appetizing recipies from all around the world to how you can turn an egg into your meal. ;)

http://www.delish.com/recipes/cooking-recipes/egg-recipes?GT1=47001
very fascinating, even if you don't eat egg, just check it out

i use kaspersky, you should too

so here's my story;
in the beginning January, my antivirus software stopped working. Back then I was just using the AVG free antivirus, and idk why, it just didn't work. So what did I do?
I went to Ratu Plaza to buy an antivirus software, a fake one ofcourse, hahha (i know, im cheap), and i had a choice. I could either buy a not-well known but original antivirus software from china, or I could buy the fake version of an antivirus software i've kinda heard of from russia. The first choice would have cost me rp.100.000, which is really cheap for an original software, but the second choice would have only cost me rp.20.000, so i chose the second one, plus my sister said it was good.
I never regretted that decision.
So i got home and installed the software. It was really really troublesome and it kept saying that i have 'traces of AVG' an uncompatible software, but after a while, i got it out of my system. Then when i did the crack code for fake softwares, they found me out and i was not able to use the software, however, they did give me a one month trial.
So i said okay, fine, anyways i bought this software to test it out, and if its really good, i'll just go ahead and buy it from the internet. After downloading the necessary things for the trial version, i scanned my laptop and found 3 or 4 trojans. That is when i found out that AVG doesnt work!
anyways, in the last month or so, i have learnt to trust Kaspersky labs, so when my trial version ended on Friday, i bought the one year subscription online.
Though, after i bought it, I started to doubt my decision. I mean $39.90? was it really worth it? hahhaha the thing is; yes. Kaspersky happens to be the #2 best antivirus software in the world, and they do have a fair price i guess.

the moral of the story is don't buy fake softwares or download free ones from the internet ever.

*check out the 10 best antivirus softwares

ps: don't take the story in this post seriously, i don't want to get arrested, therefore the story is "not true", however, the moral is true.

pps: *also check out Kaspersky reviews ;D
