Aaaahhh hahahha I'm feeling really full. The last time I put anything in my mouth was probably a few minutes less than 2pm today.
I was at Social House today for lunch. Hahaha the food there is really good, but what makes it great is the ambiance.
For those who don't know; Social House is this 3rd floor restaurant at Harvey Nichols, Grand Indonesia. It's a really cool place and it has giant, floor-to-ceiling windows that stretch over the main street outside. The restaurant is both high enough to view the skyline and low enough to look at the passing cars with ease through the window. It's actually really relaxing to sit by the window on one of the giant couches.
So it was raining really hard today when I was having my lunch, with my fam, of course. The windows, were closed because of the rain, but I didn't mind, because, .... it was raining.
Hahha. I don't know why, but one of the strangest things about me is that I love the rain(read my post dated the 22nd of July). Okay, my point is, it was really really pretty.
The rain caused the giant windows to fog up, you could view the skyscrapers from inside and see the grey clouds. It was dark outside, the dim yellow glow of the bulbs matched the ambiance perfectly. Inside, it was cozy, even if it wasn't warm, and the loud relaxing music playing inside was no match, in terms of volume, against the even louder pitter-patter of the rain.
It was perfect.
At first, before ordering food, it wasn't actually raining. I was just dark.
When it started raining really hard, I felt happy. Hahha. I felt like I was overseas, looking over the skyline, from the view our table offered.
You could see the grey clouds stretch across the vast sky.
My mum even said that the fog reminded her of snow. Wakakkaa.
It was raining for an hour(?) or so... I think. And It was awesomeeeee :D
Huahauhauhaua.
After lunch, my family and I were walking around Grand Indonesia. That place is hugeeee. Hahhaha we walked from the East to the West Mall. It's definitely more than half a kilometres walk, keeping in mind that in the mall you walk back and forth, up and down, around and around, so at the end, the distance definitely adds up. Hahahah.
When we reached the West Mall, we decided that we just wanted to be picked up right where we were instead of walking back to Harvey Nichols. We called Pak Mairin, our driver to pick us up with the car call system, because we called his handphone several times and it didn't work.
After 10 minutes, he didn't appear at the gate so we just tried and tried to call his phone, but he didn't pick up. For about 30 minutes we waited at the gate.
Time passed and everyone was getting annoyed because we waited for Pak. Mairin and he didn't show up. The rain had stopped at this time. Hahha. We even asked a satpam to look for our car. Still, after about 50 minutes he didn't turn up so then, everyone was annoyed so we got in a taxi and left.
Our conclusion: Pak Mairin fell asleep -_- zzz.
The same thing happened before actually so no one got mad at him. It happened only once before at Pasaraya. I think it was rainy too that day, and my driver doesn't like rain so he usually sleeps. Well I can't blame him. I could sleep really well when it rains, hahah.
It was a good thing that Pak Mairin woke up soon after we reached home. His phone wasn't working the whole time, but it's a good thing that Pak Mairin is really smart(He has a good memory too. He can go somewhere once and instantly remember the route) and somehow he found out that we went home without him.
I'm not 100% sure if he fell asleep, but yeah. What else could it be? How could he make us wait for 50 minutes? Wakakkakakkakak. He's too smart to get lost.
Anyway... I'm feeling okay today. Well I to remember that things come and go, hahah I'm not talking about my friend from the previous post. He'll always be my friend, :) ahhaha, he's one of those people who knows me best.
Anyway I'm talking more about the short term things in your life. Well I know that nothing is permanent but yeah, exactly the point. Nothing is permanent, so it's normal. Hahahhaha. Things in life will leave you. New things in your life will come too. There is a Chinese proverb or something that says you have to let go of the things you are holding before you can recieve more. It's true. Hahahha. It's one of the realities of life. At the end, anyways, all you'll have is yourself.
